Why the license matters

AZ ROC 324026

ROC 324026 is a KA Dual Engineering license. It covers the grading, the concrete, and the lighting on one license, for residential and commercial work alike. Many court builders hold a narrower specialty license and bring in other contractors for the rest of the job.

The build

What a build includes

  • Grading and concrete slab

The pad is graded to drain and the slab is poured and cured before any color goes on.

  • Acrylic color surfacing

Your colors on the playing area and the surround, with regulation or custom lines.

  • Fencing

Fence height and layout to suit the site, from a single backyard enclosure to a multi-court run.

  • Court lighting

Licensed for the electrical, with fixtures placed for even light across the court.

  • Nets and posts

Permanent posts and a regulation net, installed.

Process

How it goes

  • Site visit and measurements

We come out, measure the space, check access and grade, and talk through what you want.

  • Design and quote

You get a layout with sizes, colors, and line plan, and a written quote for the full build.

  • Build

Grading, slab, surfacing, fence, and lights, run by one contractor on one contract.

  • Play

We walk the finished court with you, hang the net, and hand it over.

Built for Arizona sun

A Phoenix court spends most of the year in direct sun, and in summer the surface runs far hotter than the air. We choose the acrylic surfacing and the colors with that in mind, so the court holds its color and stays playable year round. Lighter surrounds run cooler underfoot, and lighting extends play into the evening once the heat drops.

FAQ

Questions

How much space does a pickleball court need?

A regulation playing area is 20 by 44 feet. USA Pickleball recommends a 30 by 60 foot pad so there is room to move around the lines, and 34 by 64 feet where the lot allows. We measure your yard on the site visit and show you what fits.

Can I pick the colors and lines?

Yes. You choose the playing area and surround colors from the acrylic range, and the lines are painted to the regulation layout or to your own plan. A darker playing area on a lighter surround keeps the lines easy to read and the surround cooler underfoot.

Can you add pickleball lines to a court I already have?

Usually. A tennis or basketball court in sound condition can be resurfaced with pickleball lines added, either as the only layout or blended with the existing lines in a second color.

Do you build for HOAs and clubs?

Yes. The same license covers residential and commercial work, so we build single backyard courts and multi-court layouts for HOAs, clubs, schools, parks, and municipalities.

Where do you work?

All of Arizona. We are headquartered in Phoenix and build across the state, from Tucson and Yuma to Prescott and Flagstaff. Tell us where the court is going and we confirm on the first call.
